Controversial Survey...

A little survey I swiped from isilbastet because I was bored and haven't posted anything here for quite a while, so why not?

[01] Do you have the guts to answer these questions and re-post as The Controversial Survey?

I would seem to, yes.

[02] Would you do meth if it was legalized?

Are you nuts? There's no way in hell.

[03] Abortion: for or against it?

Absolutely for.

[04] Do you think the world would fail with a female president?

It depends who it is, but speaking in general terms, nope.

[05] Do you believe in the death penalty?

Yep.

[06] Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?

I couldn't care less. Just another addiction for weak willed people. Not for me.

[07] Are you for or against premarital sex?

For it. What's so wrong with that?

[08] Do you believe in God?

There is no Dog. :P

[09] Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?

Why not? Because some book says it's forbidden? Fuck that.

[10] Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?

I'm kinda sick of having to deal with em, though it can be fun if they think you're with the INS or some such.

[11] A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it?

Absolutely not.

[12] Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?

So people can die younger of alcoholism? Sure, why not? I don't much care, but I'm not into alcohol and I'm over eighteen.

[13] Should the war in Iraq be called off?

I don't have the luxory of saying whether it should or not. I'm pro military and at heart, I am a warrior. Should it be called off, probably. But if I were able, I'd join the lads over there in a heartbeat.

[14] Assisted suicide is illegal: do you agree?

Well, I'm pretty sure it is, but I'll have to check. :P Should it be is another story and I'm of the mindset that under certain circumstances it should be acceptable.

[15] Do you believe in spanking your children?

It didn't whip me into shape when I was a kid, so what's the point? Unless you need to slap around a kid to feel like a man, in which case you're just a sick bastard and should probably be locked up. No.

[16] Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?

It's just a piece of cloth, so I suppose I would, though I'd never harm what it stands for.

[17] Who do you think would make a better president? McCain or Obama?

I'll put it this way... If the severely anti-gun Obama makes it to office, I'm probably screwed and will likely begin making plans to move to another country.

[18] Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?

Some, maybe. But everyone is entitled to opinions, and if they want to judge me, so be it.

Job Hunt...

Aug. 20th, 2008 | 06:30 pm

Well, as those who follow my FA may know, I was fortunate enough to be laid off yesterday. Now, when I say that, it may take mentioning that I'm not being entirely sarcastic. That place was a black hole that sucked away all my energy, creativity, social life, and nearly got my sanity to boot. I'm glad to be rid of it. But I'm also worried. The road ahead is now distinctly uncertain. Now, instead of biding my time waiting for a decent job of my choice to open up for me to apply to, the hunt has become more urgent and may ultimately result in my being forced to go to something less than what I'm seeking, in which case I will be unable to afford my car and insurance payments, let alone cost of living. This is all worst case, of course, and I'm not quite down to that point just yet, but it's likely to start getting tight. With any luck, and perhaps a small miracle, I'll find a good job to support myself on.

Kind of hoping for something in the security field. Something more hands on, more active. I'm tired of the cubicle life. I mean, I'm no mouse. I don't like cramped crouded places. I'm a Gryphon. I like open areas, I like activity, I like stalking for "bad guys", and I like helping people out. Really, I don't know much else I could be suited to. I'm not particular good at anything but perhaps observation, weapons training and handling maybe... I don't know the first thing about finding a job. Poked around job search sites but came up either empty handed or with under paying results. I'm probably too damned picky. I just don't know what to look for, what I could do where I would be giving my worth in terms of quality of work, etc. Time will tell, but I'm certainly open to suggestions, besides the obvious like unemployment which I'm finishing up now.

Fair winds!

Lols! My leg is famous! XD

Turns out I made the top story in local news tonight, along with a small group of somewhat similar minded non-furry folk. Now, I didn't state anything on record to the reporters, as I'm no good with any of that PR stuff and get tongue tied easily, but you can clearly see me throughout the news segment. In fact, my leg is very prominent in these shots. I find it hilarious. XD

Anywho, at the bottom there's a link to the written story which also has a link to the actual video footage aired tonight on ABC 2 news. Now, if you hate guns, or don't think people should carry them, then you may not be interested in having a look and sorry for not seeing eye to eye on it, but otherwise, check out my most recent trip to Zoo Boise in the link below.

Overall, it was a fantastic day with just about no problems or downs whatsoever. Lot's of good encounters and such, so I enjoyed myself a good deal. If anyone's interested in hearing more about my day, I'd be happy to edit this to include more about it, but for now, it's teh sleepy tyme. x.x

Moving on...

This is an account I've created to replace an old one that is no longer relevant. This is just a simple post for a place marker as this old bird has a lot to do. Over the next couple of weeks I plan to pull this journal together into a proper aerie and I'll replace this with a more proper introduction. Apologies for the incompleteness.
